Sardine, Chickpea and Celery Salad

Every Wednesday I wake up to a new Thinkfood Recipe in my inbox.

Every Wednesday I hope that it is something amazing that will change the way I eat.

Last week, it was something amazing.  That Blueberry-nana smoothie was fantastic, and in the process I learned about the goodness of Coconut Oil and how I can incorporate it into my diet.

This week, I woke up to something quite the opposite.  Sardine, Chickpea and Celery Salad.  That doesn’t really sound like my cup of tea.

Sorry, friends, I will not be making this recipe.

If you are interested, you can find the recipe here. Amy from Cooking with Amy has many other wonderful looking recipes on her site that I need to try, so I’m sure this won’t be the last you hear of her!

I know that I promised to try at least one bite of each of the Thinkfood recipes, but this one is just not going to happen.

It isn’t the chickpeas.  I have already shared with you my dislike for those.

It’s the sardines.

I just don’t think I could stomach the sardines.  Taste or smell.

In the process of making the 9 previous Thinkfood recipes, I have tried things that I had never had before.   And I liked them!

Maybe I would like sardines if I just gave them a try?  Sorry, not this time.

Maybe 40 recipes from now I will have different opinion, but for now, I can’t do it.

Do you like Sardines?  You do?!?! Try this recipe!!  Tell me how it tastes!  Maybe if I have lots of people tell me how great it tastes, I will get up some courage and try it.

Until then, I will sit and ponder my next dessert.  And it will be delicious, I assure you. 🙂
