Curry Grilled Corn Soup

Here is Thinkfood recipe number 11!

This recipe is courtesy of Melody over at Gourmet Fury.  You can find the recipe here. (Unfortunately the recipe page is no longer available)  You can find the 10 previous Thinkfood recipes by clicking on the Thinkfood tab, or going here.

I’ve never made soup before, but this recipe seems pretty simple so I’ll give it a try.  I’m excited because we actually have a grill now, so I can actually grill the corn!

Although this soup was not difficult or confusing to make, it did take many steps and a lot of time.

Corn Curry Soup

I didn’t really like the flavor of the soup, but it really was fun to make!  Something about putting a whole bunch of things together in a pot and ending up with something that has the flavor of all of those combined things is pretty satisfying.

The soup didn’t taste bad – like I did something wrong in the process – it just wasn’t a flavor that I really liked.

Ease: C+, like I mentioned before, nothing really hard or complicated, but it was a pretty long process with lots of cutting and chopping and mincing and measuring.
Taste: C, I didn’t like it.  It was very flavorful, just not a flavor that I enjoy.

Will I make it again? Probably not, but if I find someone that likes this soup, I would be willing to make it again.  I do like the process of making soup, so I would like to try other varieties.
