I’m betting you’ve seen these delicious looking cookies all over the internet recently.
Well, it turns out that when people know you have a food blog, they suggest things for you to make…..and of course, share with them. I have been interested in trying these anyways, so my arm didn’t have to be twisted too hard to make them.
The recipe I used is from Picky Palate, and seems to be the recipe that a lot of people have been using. You can find it here.
Overall these were not hard to make, but it did take a little bit of trial and error to get the right cookie to Oreo ratio. And I don’t think we have them quite perfect yet – one cookie still seems like you are eating three cookies – but maybe thats the point…
We didn’t use as much dough around them as the photo shows in the directions on Picky Palate. We more or less molded the dough around the cookie, rather than rolling it into a large ball.
It should also be noted that this recipe only uses about 24 Oreo cookies – which is not a whole container. But don’t worry, the rest of the Oreo’s didn’t go to waste! I used them for another delicious recipe that I’ve been meaning to make for a while……and it might be more delicious than these…..just wait and see 😉
Ease: B+, they did take a bit of work covering the Oreo with the appropriate amount of dough, but nothing else bad at all.
Taste: B, ok don’t hate me. They were good, just too much for me. People who love super sweet things will love these.
Would I make them again? Yeah, I think so. I’d like to get the ratio of dough to cookie a little better. Also, there are definitely other kinds of cookie that I would like to try in place of the Oreo.
