For the second week in a row, Savvy Julie came up with an awesome recipe that I had to try. This applesauce spice bread looked so good – AND I actually had all of the ingredients already on hand! You can find the recipe here.
This recipe was very easy – I probably could have done without using my stand mixer, but I’m lazy. Like I said before, one of the things that I LOVE about this recipe is that I already had all of the ingredients on hand! (Ok, actually I didn’t have the nuts on hand, but I wasn’t planning on adding them anyways. 🙂 )
This bread was reeeealy good! It is not overly sweet, and I love the cinnamon spice flavor. I would not consider this a dessert bread, more like a snack bread – on the line of a banana bread or zucchini bread.
Ease: A+, very easy. Everything can be mixed together with a rubber spatula, and you only use one large bowl! (besides measuring cups of course.)
Taste: A+, I could seriously eat a whole loaf of this in one sitting.
Would I make it again? Definitely. Buuuuut I probably shouldn’t make it too often unless I am planning to share with someone.
