Remember this delicious salsa that I made for a Cinco de Mayo party? Well, I also made this guacamole to go with it! This recipe is also from How Sweet It Is and you can find it here.
I am not a huge fan of avocado – but I’m not against trying it again. Also, I LOVE mango, so that helped encourage me to try this, as I’ve never seen guacamole made with mango before.
Overall it was not hard to make – although I feel like maybe the avocados were not quite ripe enough, because they were a bit hard to mash. I thought about putting it all in a food processor and pulsing it for a bit, but thought that it might get too blended? Any guacamole lovers have opinions on that?
Just like the salsa, this was a hit as well!
Ease: A-, there is a little bit of physical labor involved, but really nothing too bad.
Taste: B, I’m just not sure if I love avocado. I definitely had more than one taste – which is a good start – but I’m not sure if guacamole is my thing.
Would I make it again? I think so. I think I would like to try it again, and it is a great dish to make for parties! I also like that it is easy, and some people love guacamole, but this has a little different, sweeter, twist with the mango.
