Full Disclosure: I paid for this meal with my own money and I was in no way reimbursed for this blog post. The opinions are completely my own.
The office where the Husband is working here in California is at a rather large office park. It is so large, in fact, that every day for lunch multiple food trucks gather in a central area to provide the employees with options for lunch foods. The day that I went for lunch, there were 6 different trucks there. The truck that I chose to eat at was The Mighty Boba.
The Mighty Boba has food that is based on Taiwanese night markets. Traditional flavors that are quick and easy to consume.
For lunch, I had the Mighty Boba Box with popcorn chicken and grilled tofu along with rice and veggies. It was pretty good. Everything was quality (I honestly had no idea what to expect with my first food truck experience) and pretty yummy. The only issue that I had was that they ask you how spicy you want your popcorn chicken on a scale of 1-7, with 4 being medium. If you have been reading my blog for a while you know that I can NOT handle anything spicy, so I asked for 1. He then explained that they would have no seasoning or anything and suggested I get a 2, assuring me it wouldn’t be spicy. So I did it. And they were slightly too spicy for me. Not too that I couldn’t eat any of them, but my mouth was definitely feeling it when I was done eating.
I also had some delicious Passionfruit Green Tea Boba Tea. I was warned that it is sweet so I got it with less sugar, and I’m glad I did because it was just perfect!
The husband had the Mighty Boba Box with Popcorn Chicken and Taiwanese Sausage, with veggies and rice as well. He also had a Honey Milk Boba Tea which he said was super sweet but delicious. (He loves super sweet things much more than I do.)
Overall, it was a great first food truck experience! Not to mention that now, after writing about it, I want Boba Tea. Yummmmm.
Taste: A, it was a solid meal and definitely delicious Boba Tea!
Cost: B+, the quality was pretty good but it was a bit expensive for a meal that was just a take-out kinda thing.
Would I go there again? Probably not for the food, but definitely for the Boba Tea!
