Restaurant Review: Sweet Ending

Full Disclosure:  I paid for this meal with my own money and I was in no way reimbursed for this blog post.  The opinions are completely my own.

I’m a fan of frozen yogurt.  If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, this should be no surprise.  I tend to make it a priority to find FroYo places while I am on vacation. I went to a bunch of different places while I was in Los Angeles and I find a new place every time I go to Chicago.

While I was in Philadelphia for the Healthy Living Summit last weekend, one of the first things that I did was get FroYo.  There were a couple of places that we passed during the day, but we ended up going to Sweet Ending for our first Philly FroYo experience.

Sweet Ending is the create your own variety of frozen yogurt shop – the kind where you choose your own flavors and put on your own toppings. (I’ve decided that this is my favorite style of frozen yogurt shop.)

Sweet Ending Yogurt

I got some original tart yogurt and some mango yogurt as well as strawberries, mango and banana.

I’ll also share with you what Heather had……mostly because I like the photo, and to give you a better idea of the different things they offer.  Heather had dark chocolate, coconut and Kahlua yogurts topped with kiwi, pineapple, coconut and almonds.

Sweet Ending

I really liked this frozen yogurt.  They had lots of different yogurt options and lots of topping options.  I know my boring fruit doesn’t really show it, but they had all kinds of chocolatey things, peanut butter FroYo, peanut butter drizzle, caramel, mochi, etc.  They was a wide variety.

Taste: A+, very tasty, even the fruit tasted fresh and juicy!
Cost: A, I’m a fan of “build your own” type places because the amount of yogurt that I get often ends up being cheaper than what a small would be at a normal place.

Would I go there again?  Definitely if I was in the area I would stop and try some of the other flavors.  They seem to be local to Philly also, so that is always a plus!

  1. Here’s what I had for the record: a bit of Dark Chocolate, Coconut, and Kaluha yogurts with kiwi, pineapple, coconut, and almonds. DELICIOUS!!!

  2. I sooooo wish we’d get a do-it-yourself yogurt place in Madison. Surely there’s room in the frozen dairy market…

    • There is actually a new place on State Street that’s called Madison Sweets….I haven’t been there but I believe they have FroYo and then they are also a bulk candy shop so you can just put whatever you want on it. Not quite the same though.
