Since I have been blogging for over a year now I have the benefit of looking back at post from last year. It is fun to see where I was and what I was doing, as well as how my writing and photo quality has improved. (I also blog a lot more now than I did a year ago.)
Since the Fall weather is pretty much here (although this week has been surprisingly warm for Wisconsin in October) I thought I would do a round up of some of my favorite recipes that I made last fall. (Hopefully this will give me a kick start to get my butt back into the kitchen as well 🙂 )
(In no particular order)
- Snickerdoodle Blondies– ok, so these aren’t exactly a Fall-specific food, but the first time I made them was last September (and many times after that) and somehow I have not made them since then. This may be because they are so delicious that it is hard for me to not eat many at a time.
- Easy 5 Step Chili – Before last year I don’t think I would tell you that I even like chili. This recipe definitely changed my mind. Since I am not a huge fan of beef, I substitute that for ground chicken or turkey and it is more delicious than I could imagine. The only thing I need to figure out now is how to make some for myself that is not-so-spicy and some for the husband that is spicy. Hmm.
- Macaroni and (Long Island) Cheese (Squash) – You should know by now that I am a huge fan of macaroni and cheese. This recipe is a different, more nutritious, twist on that and is something that I’ve brought to many gatherings and has gotten rave reviews by many family members.
Ahh memories 😀 Love anything that reminds me of all. Hey since you dont like meat too much, check out my recipe for chili. It is a veggie version with mushrooms and loads of seasoning. Great with sour cream and of course my fave…CHEESE! and tons of it…
The blondies look yummy. I have never really been a blondie fan though. Go figure? Have a great Thursday!

Blondies on their own are kind of boring, but these particular blondies are SO good!!
I love being able to look back (and laugh!) at old posts, too! I feel like my little blog voice is always growing, so it’s fun to see how far I’ve come since the beginning.
I think snickerdoodle blondies are perfect for fall! Anything with cinnamon involved is fair game, in my opinion. Yum!
YES! Cinnamon screams Fall!!
