Snicker-Chip-Doodle Cookies

Cookies.

Snickerdoodle cookies and chocolate chip cookies are two of the most popular types of cookies out there. SO why not combine them?! I’m sure thats what Jessica was thinking when she came up with this recipe.  You can find the recipe here.

SnickerChipDoodle Cookie

These were not hard at all to make.  Just a normal cookie recipe – mix dry, mix wet, combine. I did leave out the toffee chips because I didn’t have any on hand.

I thought these were good – but not as good as I had hoped they would be.  Well, let me me rephrase that.  They were awesomely good when they were hot and fresh out of the oven.  However, once they cooled I couldn’t decide if I liked them or not.  Its like my mouth couldn’t decide if they were supposed to taste like snickerdoodles, or chocolate chip cookies.  Well, obviously they are a combination of both – I’m just not sure that I’m a fan of chocolate chips in my snickerdoodles.

Ease: A, simple, standard cookie recipe.
Taste:  B+, I just don’t know if I like chocolate chips in my snickerdoodles.

Would I make them again? I’m not sure.  They are easy enough, and a little different than standard cookies at least.

Speaking of Jessica’s, my other friend Jessica (of Healthy Dairyland) is having another Blog Bake Sale to try to raise the remaining funds to meet her Team Challenge goal!  The event is tomorrow (Wednesday 11/9/11) from 8am-5pm CST.  I encourage you to go check out the goodies she will be selling to the highest bidder!

  1. My coworker makes AMAZING snickerdoodles… I don’t usually like them, except hers. So maybe I’ll ask her to sneak a few chips in one for me to try next time!

    • I never thought I liked snickerdoodles, and one time I tried them and they were amazing! (Especially hot out of the oven 🙂 ) But you are right, it does depend on the recipe, they have to be just the right texture.

  2. I don’t know how I feel about chocolate chips in my snickerdoodles, but I will try anything once! haha.

Thank you so much for sharing the bake sale!!! 😀

    Happy Tuesday!!!

    • Its definitely worth trying. I mean, they weren’t bad, really how can anything be bad with chocolate chips, they were just different. 🙂
