Hello! Did you have a good weekend?
I thought I’d just give you an update on how I’m doing with my 101 in 1001 list since I haven’t talked about it in a while. There are quite a few things that are in progress, and quite a few things that honestly seem pretty unattainable at this point. But let’s focus on the positive! Here are some things that I’ve been working on in the past few months:
- #23 – Learn to shut the toothpaste cap – I think I’m doing well with this one! It is kind of sad that it takes a conscious effort from me to remember to do it all of the time, but with effort comes habit, and that is how changes are made.
- #56 – Learn a new party/board game – Because of my job, I deal with games on pretty much a daily basis. So there are many new games that I’ve learned and love. I will do a full post in the future about some of my favorites.
- #58 – Run a mile – technically, while I was doing the C25K program, I’m pretty sure I did this but I’d like to do it again, to run just a mile straight. Speaking of C25K……I haven’t run in….um, months. Oops. Between injuries, weather and a crazy schedule it just never got finished. I will retry in the Spring.
- #69 – Don’t eat at the same place for a month – I haven’t actually kept track, but I think I’ve had a few months that have been pretty close. There are a couple of quick dinner places that we tend to frequent more than once (ahemNOODLESahem), but other than that, sit down dinners have been a pretty good mix of old and new. I’ll have to keep track for a whole month to know for sure. I credit this to Groupons, and wanting to review new restaurants on the blog 🙂
- #78 – Find 5 new favorite meals – I’d say I’ve found a few really good ones, but I don’t know if I’ve found all 5 yet. One of them for sure is the Braided Spaghetti Bread. SO GOOD.
- #90 – Volunteer 100 hours – Currently I am the volunteer editor of the Northside Madison Farmer’s Market Newsletter that goes out weekly. I’d estimate I’ve spent about 33 hours on it so far this year. I’m off to a good start!
I have a crazy week ahead with plenty of work and plenty of fun. What do you have planned for the week ahead? Anything fun?!

WOohoo! You go girlie! I love seeing people meet their goals. You did inspire me to form a goal list on my blog too. I am doing OK but need to kick it up a notch. Thanks for the update!

Thanks Crystal! Good luck with your list!! 🙂
wow – i’m impressed with your progress – especially the 100 hours of volunteer work!
Thanks Sarah! Volunteering about an hour a week really adds up!
I love these posts so we can all see how far we are on our lists!! When I lived in Madison, I ate at Noodles A LOT so I feel ya on that one! It’s so good, it’s hard to not want it all the time!
Thanks Jess!
Keep up the good work!!! I need to make a list like this!
You should make a list! Its kind of daunting at first, but as long as you fill it with enough fun things it’s not too bad. 🙂
