{Because its not Music Monday.}
Life can be crazy, exciting, exhausting, and overwhelming. Sometimes, for me, music helps me get through the overwhelming and exhausting to the fun and exciting. Here are some songs that help keep my head high and a smile on my face even when I feel like curling up on the couch with my puppy and knitting and zoning out watching the very best of Bravo, TLC, and E!.
We are Young – the version from Glee
Dog Days are Over – the Pentatonix version
Do You Hear The People Sing? – from Les Miserables
And, to add a little Holiday Cheer,
The Christmas Waltz – the She and Him Version. (Seriously people, buy the She and Him Christmas CD. It is fantastic.)
oh i loved that pentatonix performance! i haven’t listened to she & him yet…i guess i should get on that.
Even if you don’t like other She and Him songs, I highly recommend the Christmas CD. Their sound is perfect for Christmas songs!
I had never heard We Are Young before and, despite whatever people may say about Glee of late, that performance was STELLAR. Love that song.
And I’ve seen nothing from the Sing Off… oh my stars… Pentatonix + Florence is magic. That was just AMAZING. Gah!
Not super familiar with Les Mis, but always a winner, really.
and heck yes She & Him!!!
I love everything about this comment. 🙂
and what what??? Pentatonix is from Arlington, TX! 🙂
