March Foodie Penpals!

Its time for another Foodie Penpals reveal! This is my third month participating, and it is still a ton of fun! (Check out what I got in January and February too!)

This month I send a box of goodies to Jen and Ziggy the Crazy Cooking Couple.  Be sure to head over to their blog and check out what I sent!

My package this month came from a sweet reader named Michelle.  She sent a bunch of great things, and isn’t her packaging adorable with the cute ribbons?!

March Foodie Penpal

Here is what I got from Michelle:

  • Single serving package of Justin’s Honey Almond butter – I haven’t tried almond butter yet, since I dislike peanut butter I’ve been hesitant, so I like that she sent me this size instead of a whole jar – it is much less intimidating!
  • Snackle Mouth Almond Pecan Maple granola nut clusters – I haven’t had a chance to try these yet, but the I love the illustration on the box!
  • Digestive Sweetmeal Biscuits – I hadn’t ever had these before, but they are delicious! They are just sweet enough to be cookies without being a sugar overload.  They are also flat and sturdy, so they make a great vehicle for toppings 🙂
  • Jane’s Garden Tea (and she even included a strainer since it is loose leaf!) – I haven’t gotten a chance to try this yet, but it smells really good!
  • Chocolate Bunny – I’m not sure you can really go wrong with chocolate, and this little bunny was a perfect size for a little snack/dessert after dinner.
  • Biscoff Spread – I had seen this in stores and on blogs and everyone seems to rave about it.  Well, now I know why.  It basically tastes like a spreadable cookie.  So good.

Michelle also included a recipe for Mini Maple Banana Pancake Muffins which sounds really good (and easy!), and I will definitely be making them in the near future!

Thanks Michelle for all of the goodies!!

Are you interested in joining in on the Foodie Penpals fun?  Here is what you need to know:

-On the 5th of every month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.

-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!

-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. this can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!

-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)

-Foodie penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you are to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month.

If you want to sign up for the February swap, or have any other questions about Foodie Penpals, just email Lindsay (the fantastic organizer) at [email protected]

Lindsay needs to hear from you by April 4th as pairings will be emailed on April 5th!

Have you had Biscoff spread before?  It kind of tastes like a sugar cookie version of Nutella.  Deliciously sweet.
