April Foodie Penpals

Time for another Foodie Penpals reveal! I can’t believe this is my fourth month involved!  Check out my other recaps for January, February, and March.

This month I was matched up to send some things to Kasey of Powercakes.  It was fun challenge for me this month, since Kasey is allergic to gluten and almonds I had to look a little harder to find good things.  I think I found some good Wisconsin made items and I hope she liked them!

My package this month came from Brittnye of Healthy Living Chick.

Texas

She is from Texas and SUCH a sweetheart.  Wait until you see all of the goodies she sent me.

Box Inside

Not to mention the cute tissue paper is was packed in!

April Box

My box included lots of different snacky things, which made me very excited when I saw them all!

  • Pretzel Thins which were delicious and one of the first things I started snacking on
  • Fruit Bites which I haven’t tried yet but am excited about.
  • Nut Thins which I’ve been wanting to try for a while , but once I tried them I didn’t love them.  Bummer. Oh well, everything can’t be a winner!
  • Quaker Instant Oatmeal in real fruit flavors that I’ve never seen before!  Definitely excited about these.
  • 2 Cliff Bars one of which has already come in handy on a busy day at work, and the other one is a new flavor that I haven’t had before!
  • Salsa which I tried and I like the slight sweetness and general flavor, but it is a bit spicy for me.  But the husband tried it too and likes it a lot…and now the jar is empty.
  • Luna Bar which is at work in case of emergency.
  • Quaker Granola Bars in flavors that I’ve never seen before! Those are in my work snack stash as well.
  • Stretch Island Fruit Leather which is one of my favorite snacks EVER.
  • Candy Sticks  mmmmm sugary candy.
  • Cadbury Fruit and Nut Candy Bar  mmmmmm chocolate.
  • Cinnamon flavored Coffee which I haven’t had yet but sounds (and I bet also smells) delicious!
  • Godiva Hot Chocolate  again mmmmmm chocolate.
  • …I feel like I am missing some things because there was SO much!!

Thank you Brittnye for everything!

April Box Things

Oh, and Miss Kitty says thanks for the box 🙂

Interested in participating in Foodie Penpals?  Here is more information:

-On the 5th of every month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.

-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!

-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. this can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!

-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)

-Foodie penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you are to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received.
