Full Disclosure: I paid for this frozen yogurt with my own money and I was in no way reimbursed for this blog post. The opinions are completely my own.
As I was driving one day last week (headed to Target I believe) I spotted a new (or at least looked new to me) place called Orange Leaf. I didn’t have any extra time to spare, so I just drove by keeping it in the back of my head for the next time I would be in the area. When I got home, the name was still in my head so I decided to Google it and see what exactly it was. I was very excited to learn that it is a frozen yogurt place! I was tempted just to hop back in my car and get some, but I had other plans so I decided to save it for another day.
Then, a few days later, the weather turned hot, humid, and just pain gross. Definitely not what you would expect during the month of May in Wisconsin. I had plans to make a trip out to Target (yes, its an addiction) so I decided I would stop there and check it out. I decided to get some groceries at Target and then stop by and get some FroYo to take home with me as a snack. I probably should have eaten the FroYo before getting groceries, since it was pretty melty by the time I got it home, lesson learned.
Orange Leaf is the style of frozen yogurt shop where you pay by weight. There were a few of these that I found while out in California last summer, and I am very excited that there is one here now too! They had 8 different flavor yogurts to choose from, and a good variety of fruit, nuts, candies and more for topping.
I really wanted to wait to post this review until I had “real” camera photos of everything, but it was just SO good I couldn’t wait to tell you about it! Since the weather right now is perfect for a frozen yogurt treat, I decided I just had to post it so that people wouldn’t miss out on the deliciousness!!
The bowl above has a bit of Brownie Batter yogurt, some Strawberry Cheesecake yogurt, and mostly the Original Tart yogurt. It is topped with a brownie piece, strawberries, pineapple, popping boba, and gummi bears. (Don’t be fooled by the the fact that it looks like I barely filled my bowl, it is actually a very large bowl that I only filled about half way on purpose so I could cover it on my way home and not be worried about it melting and leaking out.) The Original Tart flavor was my favorite (as usual) but the others were pretty good too. Its funny because when getting ice cream, I always gravitate towards chocolate flavors but chocolate frozen yogurt is not something I love. Something I do love though? Popping boba. I cannot get enough of these weird little things!!
I should also mention that they have a rewards card! For every dollar you spend you get a point, and for every 10 points you get $1 added to your loyalty card!
I think I have a new favorite frozen yogurt place.
Taste: A+, really delicious.
Cost: A, no frozen yogurt place is super inexpensive, but I’m a big fan of the pay-by-the-ounce type places because you only pay for as much as you really want!
Would I go there again? Definitely. I have already, and I’m sure I will again!! I <3 FroYo!!

i haven’t had froyo since HLS.
[when alicia and jen learned this saturday night, they were SHOCKED.]
and i’d like some…….now.
hooray for more great places in the Mad-city 🙂
I hadn’t had it in a while either, since most of the other places are not super convenient for a random stop.
Also: This place is in the same strip of stores as Paper Deli. Win win! 🙂
whee! i am so pumped to hear that we FINALLY have one of these places in madison! i got hooked on fro-yo in st. louis & we’ve never had anything that quite compares to the build-your-own fro-yo’s!
