Often times when I am on Twitter I am just kind of mindlessly scrolling through because I am bored, waiting for something/someone, or just wasting time. A few days ago, it was one of those days. I was waiting for something and was just kind of mindlessly scrolling through my Twitter feed on my phone.
Then I saw this Tweet.
OHMY. A combination of two of my favorite desserts?!? That sounds so delicious! Sarah told me that she would have the recipe up in a few days, and I patiently waited.
Once I saw that she had posted the recipe, I was very excited to make these! They sounded SO good, and I hadn’t really made a dessert for myself in a while, so it was definitely needed. You can find the recipe here.
Luckily, they were just as delicious as I thought they would be – and easy to make too! She uses a flax “egg” in the recipe instead of a real egg. I only usually use flax in breadier items, so I wasn’t sure how these would turn out but they turned out perfectly. No one would even know that there wasn’t a real egg in them. Extra bonus with using a flax “egg” – there is no harm in eating the raw dough!
The original description that Sarah tweeted was spot on. These really did taste like the perfect combination of a cookie and a brownie. They didn’t last in our house for more than a couple of days.
Ease: A, not hard at all, just mix wet, dry, and combine.
Taste: A+, sooooo good.
Would I make them again? Absolutely.
