Weekend Cravings {Summer}

Happy Friday, Friends!

This week flew by – and I even worked on the 4th….maybe thats why it flew, because no one else was working! My weekend is just as full as this week has been, and I have a feeling it is going to fly by as well.

This weekend is a good snapshot of my whole summer:  parties, friends, family, travel….and hopefully a little relaxation in between.   I have a wedding shower to go to on Saturday, and then two different get togethers with friends on Sunday.

The biggest thing I’m hoping for is cooler weather!  I know everyone is probably sick of people complaining about the hot hot heat, but we’ve now had 2 days in a row of over 100 degree temperatures here (and possibly another one today) any many more over 90 degrees.  I live in WISCONSIN.  Not Texas.  This is not normal.  Ooof.

Until then, I will be chugging water, coconut water, and coffee to keep myself hydrated in this crazy weather.  Every night I think maybe I’ll run, but since even at dusk the last few nights have been in the high 90’s, and I’m not training for any races, I think its probably better to not over exert myself.  Some day it will be less than 90 degrees (my made up temperature limit) before dark and I will be running again.  I would like that day to be sooner rather than later.

  1. Same here, girl. I need to chug more water… I hate the way it tastes here though!!! Maybe I need to step up my quest to find coconut water. This heat just kills hydration! I want to give blood next week too and I know it always SUCKS if I’m dehydrated… game on!

  2. When it was super hot I totally skipped workouts other than raising my tea mug. I probably drank twice as much as I usually do and that’s a lot.
