I’m not entirely sure HOW it is already August 13th. August is flying by just as June and July did. Last weekend I took my third of three trips to Chicago (for the near future), and in three days I will be on my way to Healthy Living Summit in Boston! SO these next three days are going to be filled to the brim trying to get work things in order, packing, etc. before I leave.
Today I have some random things to share with you.
1) Last weekend I went to the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM in Chicago. I debated if waiting in the 10 person long line would actually be worth it, but I’m glad I decided to wait. Not only was it a super fun novelty to buy a cupcake from an automated machine, but the cupcakes were some of the best I’ve had. Full Sprinkles review to come.
2) Breakfast for dinner is maybe the best kind of dinner. Ok, well, breakfast for any meal really. One day last week we made pancakes from the Arrowhead Mills Buttermilk Pancake mix. (Full Disclosure: I got this mix for free, but the opinons are completely my own and I am not being compensated for this post.) I was given some money to spend to check out the Swanson Health Products site, and this was one of the items that I ordered. (If you aren’t familiar, the site has MANY different items. Some of the other items I ordered included Yes to Carrots face wipes, Annie’s Macaroni and Cheese, and Halo Pet Treats. They really have everything, and good prices too!)
We really liked this mix – it was the right combination of fluffy and chewy. Also, they definitely had a buttermilk kind of flavor – not like other mixes that we’ve had in the past that just taste kind of bready and generic. There is a good chance we will have more pancakes for dinner this week – the mix is great for when you have limited time and energy to make dinner!
3) Every hotel room should have an outlet (or 2) right next to the bed. Period. No Question. To every hotel owner out there that wants to know what makes me come back to the hotels that I love: ample outlets near the bed are one of the reasons. There may be a whole post of reasons why I love my favorite hotels to come because as it turns out I’m a little picky about my hotel stays.
Hope everyone has a great week! Who will I be seeing at HLS this weekend??
P.S. Check out why I am so excited about HLS with my post on Healthy Living Blogs!

So sad I’m not going to HLS this year 🙁 Have fun!!!
Yummm cupcakes and pancakes! I hate bready pancakes so this looks like a great pantry-stuffer.
Also I share your outlet frustration!!!!!!! My last hotel stay wasn’t like that picture, and it was horrible!
We were at a hotel last weekend that we had to literally move the mattress and use my computer as an extension to make it work. SO frustrating!!
