Full Disclosure: I paid for this food with my own money and the opinions are completely my own.
While we were downtown eating dinner a couple of weeks ago, I realized that there is a new frozen yogurt shop on State Street that I hadn’t been to: Forever Yogurt. I generally don’t have room for dessert after a dinner out, but the short walk back to our car made room. Ok lets be honest, there is always room for FroYo!
One of my favorite things about the self-serve style frozen yogurt shops is that you can get as little (or as much) as you want! I realize it is easier said than done sometimes, but I feel like I’m pretty good at controlling myself if I am already pretty full.
I believe it was the first week that it was open when we went and it was very busy! Frozen yogurt on a college campus is a wonderful thing. They had many different flavors available, but I was kind of disappointed that they didn’t have the original tart flavor that most other have! I know that may sound like I’m super boring by saying that, but at least for comparisons sake that is usually what I like th try the most. I ended up going with some strawberry and some pineapple flavored instead which wasn’t bad at all, but I was still kinda bummed that I couldn’t compare the plain tart! To top my froyo I got pineapple, strawberries, gummi bears, sour gummi worms, and popping boba. I was definitely impressed with their topping selection. There was a wide variety of sweet and fruity choices and everything looked fresh.
Overall it was good, and probably would be my frozen yogurt choice if I was downtown, mostly because of the selection of toppings.
Taste: A-, not bad, just not my favorite. Also, kind of hard to compare since they didn’t have any original tart plain flavor.
Cost: A, pretty much the same as others where you pay by weight.
Would I go there again? Yeah, I think so. I did like their topping selection and maybe if I go again I can try their original tart!

There was a line out the door and around the corner on opening day.
Wow, crazy!
wheeee! another self-serve fro-yo place in madison. 🙂 now we need one on the east side!
Yes! I’m not sure why there isn’t one yet, since there are now a ton on the west side. I bet East Towne or somewhere in that area will get one soon!
