Friday Things

Happy Friday!

I have a few random things to share with you today.

Tomorrow I leave bright and early to head to Milwaukee to fly to Louisville, Kentucky for work! I always have fun exploring new cities, even if I am there for work. I was there last year but didn’t get too much time to explore.  Do any of you live in Louisville? Has anyone visited before? I would love any and all tips for places to visit and food to eat!

Since I will be out of town, I’ll probably be doing my typical “via iPhone” posts while I’m gone, so look for some photos of traveling and things for the next few days.

Tomorrow is Olive’s Birthday! It is hard to believe I’ve had her for so long already, she will be 5 years old! I’m sad that I will be missing it but I’m sure she will get lots of treats and snuggles from the Husband while I am gone.

Olive Face

After an extensive search….er….looking at Target and Walgreens…I finally found the Caramel Apple Milky Way Bars!! (They were at Metcalfe’s at Hilldale if anyone is wondering.)  I’ve seen these pop up on Instagram and in blog posts for the past couple of weeks so I’ve been trying to get my hands on them.  Milky Way is pretty much my favorite candy bar, and if you read my post from yesterday you would know that I also enjoy caramel apples.

Caramel Apple Milky Way

They actually tasted more like caramel apples than I thought they would!  I guess I wasn’t really sure how and apple flavor would come through all of the chocolate flavor, but it definitely does.  They even kind of smell like caramel apples!

Have a great weekend!!!

I love going to Actors Theatre (http://actorstheatre.org/). We also have some really cool museums that you should check out! KY Derby Museum (http://www.derbymuseum.org/), Louisville Slugger Museum (http://www.sluggermuseum.com/),
and the Muhammed Ali Center (http://www.alicenter.org/).
Also, the Waterfront Park is gorgeous, if you want to go for a run!
An excellent restaurant that we love is called Lentini’s, a little Italian restaurant. (http://lentinis.makespacelab.com/index.html) Great food and atmosphere and reasonable prices.
    Enjoy Louisville!
