Top Ten Christmas Songs 2012

I love, love, LOVE me some Christmas music.  Since no one can tell me that it is too early to be listening to Christmas music at this point, I’d like to share some of my favorites with you!

I shared some of my favorites a while back:

Top Ten 90’s – Today Christmas Songs
Top Ten 70’s and 80’s Christmas Songs
Top Ten Classic Christmas Songs

I won’t repeat anything that I’ve already shared, but I have found some new (and new to me) favorites this year.  In no particular order.

1) Sugarland – City of Silver Dreams

2) Sugarland – Gold and Green

I’m a big fan of pretty much all of their Christmas CD actually.  I can’t believe I only found it this year!  Also:  Gold and Green always makes me think of Green and Gold which are of course Green Bay Packer colors!

3) Sara Bareilles – Love is Christmas

Love is who we are, and no season can contain it.
Love would never fall for that.

She has such a great voice for Christmas music!

4) Justin Beiber – Mistletoe

5) Carly Rae Jepsen – Mittens

ummm…..what can I say, I love catchy pop music!

6) Blake Shelton featuring Michael Bublé – Home

7) Michael Bublé and Shania Twain – White Christmas

8 ) Lady Gaga – White Christmas

9) Glee Cast – O Holy Night

I <3 Lea Michelle.  Another wonderful voice for Christmas music. (side note: The performance from the video is from this season, but she first sang it in 2010 and there is a recording of it on that Christmas Album, if anyone else was confused about why they couldn’t find it on the new Glee Christmas album.)

10) Straight No Chaser – The 12 Days of Christmas

LOVE acapella Christmas songs.  Especially when they are as creative as this one! Speaking of, I hear that Pentatonix has a Christmas album.  Any other acapella Christmas albums you would recommend??

Oh! In other Christmas news, I watched Elf for the first time last weekend! It really is as good as people say it is! (I don’t really know what I was doubting) I have to say though, I do prefer Zooey Deschanel as a brunette.

Hope everyone is having a great week! The best way to spread Christmas cheer is to sing it loud for all to hear!
