Thursday Things

Hello! How are you all? I feel like I’ve kind of been in a Christmas haze the past day or so.  So many fun things that I want to do, but at the same time I’m so tired from going places and doing things, my brain doesn’t really know how to handle it.  Anyways. We had a wonderful Christmas and I hope you all did too!  I have some random things for you today – but don’t worry, I do have  an actual, non-dessert, recipe review or two coming in the near future!


A couple of weeks ago the nice people at Wild Harvest send me some of their new Pita Chips to try! (Full Disclosure: I was given these chips to try free of charge.  As always the opinions are completely my own and I am not being compensated for this post.)


Of course the first bag that was opened was the cinnamon sugar variety.  They were good on their own and would’ve been even better dipped in something sweet!  My only complaint is that the cinnamon sugar isn’t very well distributed on the chips.  They reminded me of a pita chip version of cinnamon sugar graham crackers.

Next we tried the Sea Salt.  On their own they are pretty bland, but they make a great vehicle for dips and spreads.  They are thicker than a lot of other dipping chips so they hold well and don’t break apart in the dip.

We haven’t given the Parmesan Garlic a try yet, but I’m sure they are delicious and great for dipping, too!



I got a Project Life Kit for Christmas!! I’m planning to start in January. (holy cow, that’s next week!) I’m hoping to share some of it on the blog in hopes that will make me more committed to doing it on a regular basis. I am a bit of a packrat and like to keep lots of random things, so I’m hoping that putting them all into this binder every week will help me organize what often turns in to clutter that I keep to  scrapbook….ya know…some day. I’m excited! Anyone else doing Project Life in 2013??


We brought Oreo Balls to a Christmas get together on Tuesday. They always go quickly when we bring them, but I think this time they were gone in record time.  Note to self: always make more than you think you should!  The ingredients list is short, they look fancy when they are finished, and (most importantly) they taste delicious.  I don’t think that anyone has ever said that they don’t like them…even people that claim they don’t like Oreo’s.


I’m pretty sure there is a mouse living in our Christmas tree.  I’ve seen/heard it 3 times now.  The husband thinks its just my ornaments moving as the tree wilts.  I sure hope he’s right!


Aaaand with that, I’m off to clean up the Christmas tornado that came through our house.  Or organize my craft room.  ….or maybe bake some donuts…

  1. yay project life! 🙂 i’m definitely continuing it into 2013! i’m waiting to start my 2013 album until i get the seafoam core kit, though!

    • Yay! I thought about waiting for the seafoam kit, too but I figured I better start while I’m motivated to do it!

  2. I can’t believe I still haven’t attempted oreo balls! That’s on the list for the next fun thing we do. Also, those pita chips look delicious! Cinnamon sugar are my FAVORITE, I could never resist them. I hear they are good with fruit salsa!

    • Yes, I’ve had cinnamon chips with fruit salsa and it is SO good!

      Definitely try Oreo balls. They are SO easy and soooo good! I’d suggest bringing them to a gathering so you don’t eat them all at once 🙂
