Full Disclosure: I paid for this product with my own money. I am not being compensated for this post and the opinions are completely my own.
I’ve talked before about how I don’t like beer. I’ve tried cheap beer, I’ve tried fancy beer, I’m just not really a fan of the flavor. I do, however, like other fruity tasting hard ciders. I think these are technically still beer though? I’m not entirely sure, I don’t know much about the difference between alcohols. Anyone know for sure?
Anyways.
I’ve mentioned New Glarus Brewery in the past when I talked about their Apple Ale. I just love this little Wisconsin brewery. This fall, they came out with a new beverage called Serendipity. This “happy accident fruit ale” has been on my list to try since I first saw it in the grocery store. Up until recently it seemed that every time I had an opportunity to pick some up, it was out of stock. When I saw it at the grocery store while I was buying some last minute items for Christmas, I knew I had to pick some up to bring with me.
It guess itreally wasn’t a surprise considering that I like fruity beverages, but I loved it. It is made from apples, cranberries, and cherries, and it tastes (to me at least) like a wonderful combination of the Apple Ale and their Raspberry Tart. YUM. I liked it so much that I bought more to take to our New Year’s Eve get together as well.
Taste: A+, really love this stuff.
Cost: A, I believe the 750ml bottle that I bought was just under $10. Not too bad for a local brew I’d say.
Would I buy it again? Absolutely. I have, and I will. The good news is that I thought it was a seasonal brew, but it is listed in the year-round category on their website so hopefully it is here to stay!
