Project Life Week 4!
(Click the photo above for a bit larger image)
This week had quite a few happenings including a tasting event I went to at Panera and a trip to Chicago! I had no trouble filling the spread this week. I added an envelope insert to hold our Playbills from The Book of Mormon that we saw in Chicago. I realize I could have sliced it up and made it fit into the spaces (like Elise does in this post, coincidentally also for the same show!) but I’m weird and really like to keep my souvenirs in their original form if possible.
The left represents pretty much all of the work week including some actual Winter-in-Wisconsin weather, and the Panera tasting.
Some details.
The right side is all our trip to Chicago and some things we did there. The Book of Mormon show, cupcakes from MORE, shopping at one of my favorite places, Local Charm, and dinner at ZED451. All of those things made for a wonderful, but very full, Saturday. I went for convenience and didn’t bring my DSLR to dinner, and of course it was much too dark for my iPhone to do any good (blogger fail, I know) so I do want to do a full review of ZED451, but it might be a little weird not having any photos, so I’m not entirely sure if it’ll happen. Short review: Delicious food, great service, trendy but casual, probably not a good place for non-meat eaters.
Some detail.
I really enjoyed The Book of Mormon – but it definitely isn’t a show for everyone. There was some pretty explicit language and content, but the songs, story, acting, singing, and staging were all well done. And, because I am a pop culture dork, I have to point out that the cast included Ben Platt (who was in Pitch Perfect) and Syesha Mercado (who was one of the finalists on American Idol season seven.)
Hope everyone had a great week!

We have tickets to see Book of Mormon in Rochester this March, and I am SO EXCITED. I already know the whole soundtrack backwards and forwards 😉
How fun!!
