Twosday {New Things}

Monthly subscriptions that I am way too tempted to sign up for:
1. Barkbox. Yep, just as it sounds, a monthly box delivery for dogs.  I have heard great things about this box from a few different people but I just haven’t bit the bullet and bought it for Olive yet. One reason is that while I love that each box seems to come with multiple bags of treats, it takes more than a month for her to go through a big bag of treats generally so I’m afraid those would start to pile up quickly.
2. Studio Calico has a monthly Project Life kit subscription option.  I really do not need more project life supplies at this point…but this is SO tempting!

Nail polishes that I bought recently almost entirely because of the pop culture references:
1. Nicole by O.P.I Am I Making Myself Claire.  This is part of the Modern Family collection, and I just couldn’t resist.  I’ve worn it once and while I did like the color, I am used to much brighter colors right now for Spring, so I didn’t love it.  I feel like this will come back into rotation later in the year.
2. Khroma Summer Honey. I had no idea that the Kardashian girls (Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe,) had a beauty product line until I was randomly in CVS one day last week. (I was a bit confused because they just had a line of nail polish out from OPI??)  Their show(s) on the E! network are definitely one of my guilty pleasures.  Since I had never heard of it before, and don’t often go to CVS, I figured I should pick one up while I was there.  Their website isn’t even up and running yet, so it really must be brand new!

New foods that I tried recently:
1. Prosciutto….on a grilled cheese sandwich.  At the Grilled Cheese Happy Hour event last week.  I kind of feel like it only kind of counts because it was covered in cheese, what isn’t good when it is covered in cheese?
2. Garlic and Basil Gnocchi from Rising Moon Organics.  I’ve had gnocchi before, but only at fancy restaurants.  I didn’t ever thing this could be so good frozen!  I’m kind of obsessed with these, and I can only find them at my local co-op so I have to stock up every once in a while.

New things going on over at HealthyLivingBlogs.com:
1. The #hlbbookclub book for April is The Dinner by Herman Koch.
2. Signup is open for another HLB Tea Exchange! Send some tea, get some tea, simple as that! Sign up here.

Things I received in the mail recently:
1. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Birthday Cake Nutty Butter that I recently ordered.  Technically it is an early birthday present for the husband, but even though I am not a huge nut butter fan, I will definitely have to have some of the cookie dough, and maybe even try the birthday cake!
2. My first PopSugar Must Have Box! (affiliate link) I’ll be honest and say that I wasn’t blown away by what I got in the box, however everything was pretty cool! My favorite thing in the box was definitely the bracelet.  I’m a huge fan of the stacking bracelets trend right now and I love the Shashi New Nugget Bracelet, it is definitely something I would buy on my own.  I also am intrigued with the Green Garmento Four-In-One Reusable Dry-Cleaning Bag. I love that it is four bags in one, but I’m not sure I will really get a whole lot of use out of it, other than packing nice clothes while traveling.  Other things in the box were Kai perfume oil, Alter Eco Dark Quinoa Chocolate bar, and Tatcha petal fresh evening aburatorigami beauty papers. One of the things that I do really like about this box is the variety – it isn’t just food or beauty products, it is a little bit of everything.  Since it was my first box I’ll stick with it for at least one more month before I decide if I will continue with it or not.

Hope everyone has a great week!!

  1. I don’t have a dog, but I love that barkboxes exist! Ha! Wow, really need to try that gnocchi. Would you believe I’ve lived in Madison for 10 years and never gone to Willy’s?? 🙂

    • I’ve lived here all of my life and I honestly did not go more than maybe once or twice a year until they opened the west side location. It is so much more convenient for me, and MUCH better parking situation!

  2. I am SO tempted by the Studio Calico kit, too!
