Another fun-filled week is in the books!
This week started with a busy Sunday. It started with brunch at Marigold Kitchen with Carly and her boyfriend who were visiting Madison. While I was downtown I also stopped by Fromagination and picked up a couple of treats – including some cheese orphans. (the paper that you see is what they are wrapped in) Do you know about cheese orphans? I’ve seen them at a few different stores now, they are essentially small bits of leftover cheeses – I think they are a pretty great way to try some fancier cheeses without having to spend a ton of money.
Also in the first half of the spread are the new blog business cards that I got (more to come on that tomorrow!), and my run this week, during which I work an awesome I Run This Body shirt that I won from Katy!
Some detail.
The second half of the spread includes a couple more fun events! On Tuesday I attended my first Yelp Elite event! It was at the Paoli Schoolhouse Cafe which is a super cute place with some pretty tasty food. It is kind of a trek from Madison, and the weather was rainy and pretty gross (which seems to be an unfortunate trend in Madison right now), but on a sunny Summer day it would probably be a pretty nice drive!
The other big event of the week was going to see some movies at the Wisconsin Film Festival! I had never been to it before, but some friends of ours were going so we decided to join them. More about the actual movies that we went to is coming up later this week. Spoiler alert: I crossed off #49 on my 101 in 1001 list – I saw a movie in the theater with subtitles!
I also got my first PopSugar MustHave Box (affiliate link) in the mail this week. I talked more about it on Twosday, but basically I didn’t overwhelmingly love it but I’m going to give it at least another month to make a final decision.
Oh! At the Yelp Elite event I got some sweet Yelp Elite socks!
And one more detail shot.
Whew! What a week! I feel like this is the busy season for most people I know right now, no matter who they are or what they do. Anyone else feel like that? It definitely is the busy season for me!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
