Product Review: Minted Business Cards {and a Giveaway!}

Full Disclosure: I was given $50 towards business cards at Minted.com in exchange for a product review. They are also supplying the $50 for the winner. As always, the opinions in this post are completely my own.

A little while ago I was cleaning out some things and came across my stack of business cards. Both mine, and those that I have collected through various conferences and gatherings. I quickly realized that the stack of my own business cards was dwindling. With the BlogHer conference coming up in Chicago in July, and then the Healthy Living Summit in September, (plus various other random blogger gatherings in between) I decided that I would need to order more. There really was no rush, but since it seems like every month this year goes by faster than the one before, I figured I should get it done with while I was thinking about it.

Coincidentally, that same week that I decided I needed to get new business cards, I was also contacted by Minted about reviewing their business cards. In the past I have ordered from Moo.com and Vistaprint, but I didn’t really have strong feelings about either one of them so I thought I’d give these a try, too.

The site was overall easy to use, pretty similar to other sites. I almost always upload my own designs when I make business cards, but if you would rather just use a already made design, this site has a ton to choose from. Not only do they have a bunch to choose from, but a lot of what they have to choose from are really fun, modern, designs and formats, which is not something that I always see on other sites!

I did upload my own designs as I usually do, just because it seemed like an easier option than going through the hundreds of other options and trying to make one of them fit what I am looking for. (obviously I am picky about things other than just food!) The process of uploading my own (and changing my mind a billion times) went smoothly. I didn’t choose any of the fancy paper or finish options that they had to offer, I kept it pretty simple. My 75 business cards cost $48.00, plus I paid $7.95 for shipping.

They were delivered within about a week, which is pretty quick compared to some of the other less expensive sites. They turned out well, I think! They also came with a really cute little business card holder box.

I love how the solid colors and text turned out, it does look just as I designed it! The photos that are on the back of the card didn’t turn out quite as I had hoped (they were a little small and not quite as crisp as I had hoped) but I think that was just because I was seeing it larget than life on the computer screen so I didn’t quite think it through. Overall, though, I did like how they turned out and I definitely recommend them. (Minted also has MANY other things that you can use their site to design too – invitations, journals, etc.)

And now for the fun part…Minted has offered to give one of my lovely readers $50 towards business cards, too! I highly recommend having business cards if you are going to any kind of blog conference or get together. Even though it might seem kind of silly (I definitely thought it was at first) it really is helpful to help other bloggers and brands get to know you! If you aren’t a blogger, or feel like you have no other reason to buy business cards, check out these ideas: Parent Cards, Allergy Cards, Gift Tags, and I’m sure there are many more!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

The giveaway will run until next Tuesday, April 23, and I will draw a random winner and let them know by Wednesday April 24! If you win, you will have 48 hours from when I contact you to get back to me with your information. If I do not hear back from you within that time, I will draw a new winner.

The winner has been chosen! Congratulations Emily @SinfulNutrition!

    • 🙂 I am going to BlogHer for the first time this summer – since it is in Chicago, I figured I might as well! I’m curious to see how different it is. I’ve head that it is huge, but I’m hoping it isn’t too overwhelming!

      • I thought about BlogHer this year since it’s in Chicago, but I forgot to buy tickets when they were still crazy cheap. I think I would have been really overwhelmed by it too. I might try to attend some of the official meet-ups or whatever. Visit with blends who are in town.
