Well. Remember when I thought I’d get caught up on Project Life last weekend? Yeah, that didn’t happen. I did have a pretty productive weekend, but unfortunately it didn’t include working on this project. I’m slowly getting caught up, and I really do hope that I can catch up for the last two weeks by the time Sunday rolls around.
Week 17 started off pretty well. I ran my Happy5K on Sunday the 14th. It was a fairly warm day, and it went about as well as I could’ve expected considering I hadn’t (er, still haven’t) been running very regularly. I finished the 3.1 miles in 35:56.
During that week I also got my Conscious Box (affiliate link), and my Love with Food (affiliate link) box in the mail. (I have a bit of a monthly box obsession if you haven’t yet noticed!) The theme of the Love with Food box this month was Weird, Wild, and Wonderful foods themed and it was curated by Andrew Zimmern! It was fun to have a box curated by a big name person (and Midwesterner!) but some of the things were just a bit too out there for me. Like Fennel Pollen. What in the world do I do with that?! Other things were definitely different, but more reasonable, like Coconut Milk Caramels.

March 15th was a day that most of us probably will not forget for quite a while, it was the tragic day of the Boston Marathon bombings. Monday (the day of the bombings) through Friday (the day they captured the suspects) of that week was pretty intense…even being many miles away from the manhunt that was going on. The black and white quotes are images that I made during that week, and I put in the Boston Strong ribbon as well just to mark the event show support – even if it is something that everyone would I’m sure rather just imagine never happened in the first place.
That Saturday things got back to normal a bit. I had a girl date with Sarah, and we went for Froyo! It was perfect timing because it was the first really warm day that we’d had this year. That night, the husband and I also went to dinner! We finally used our gift certificate to Ruth’s Chris that we had gotten and took a break to have a nice steak dinner. It was wonderful.

Hope you all had a good week! More Project Life updates to come throughout the weekend!
