Project Life Week 25 {June 16-22, 2013}

More fun things this week!

This week includes the first official day of summer – and it definitely felt like it.  Well, between the thunderstorms at least, the weather was hot and humid!

That Lindt Caramel Brownie Chocolate Stick in the photo below was an impulse buy at Target and it turned out to be delicious! I’m a little obsessed now.

That weekend my brother and his girlfriend came up from Chicago to have a belated Father’s Day celebration with my parents.  We had salmon and steak and potatoes on the grill for dinner and we hung out for a while.  Later that night the four of us went to see Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing in the theater.

There was another Yelp Elite event this week!  (Full Disclosure: This was a free event put on by Yelp, but I am not being compensated and the opinions are completely my own.) This time it was at Craftsman Table and Tap in Middleton.  Craftsman is a Food Fight restaurant, which is a  local company that operates many great restaurants in the Madison area. (Bluephies, Fresco, and Luigi’s to name a few.)  The evening included some appetizers, drink pairings, beer and cheese pairings, and a great atmosphere.  And yes, I even drank some beer.  It was paired with cheese so I couldn’t pass it up even though I don’t love beer.  In the spread I included a photo of some people doing a blind beer tasting , and one of the most delicious brownies I’ve ever had. It was a good time, lots of good food and drink, and Sarah and Brad came, too!

Some detail of the delicious brownie.  Yes, that is a homemade marshmallow, mandarin orange slice, and mint leaf on top of it.

Have a great weekend!

I’m finally almost caught up on Project Life, hoping I can get this week done tomorrow.  Hooray!

  1. Did you enjoy Much Ado? Our local indie theater is finally getting it at the end of this week and I’m so looking forward to seeing it.

    • I did enjoy it, but some parts were a little slow for me. My brother and his girlfriend really liked it though!
