  • Welcome! My name is Kelly, and I am a picky eater. On this blog I share recipes, new (to me) foods, restaurants, and products that I try in an effort to expand my tastes. You might also find me talking about my pug Olive, Miss Kitty, Project Life, my journey with running, and more! Feel free to contact me: [email protected]

Twosday {Travel}

Road trips I am taking in the near future:
1) Chicago. (x2!) This weekend is the BlogHer conference and I am so excited!  I’m also going down at the beginning of August to hang out with Stina and Mindy…oh and run a 10k, too. 🙂
2) Twin Cities.  In a few short weeks I will be headed a few hours north to Minnesota to hang out with some of my best blends at the Healthy Living Summit.  I’m also excited to explore the cities, I haven’t been there in many many years.

Trips I am taking via airplane in the near future:
1) Philadelphia.  A good friend is getting married there this fall and we are flying out for the wedding.  I really enjoyed my time there briefly during the Healthy Living Summit a couple of years ago, and I am excited to go again. I wish we could stay longer than just the weekend, but  we will definitely make the most of our time there.
2) Orlando. In case you missed the announcement a while back – I am running the Walt Disney World 10K in January! I am beyond excited to run at the happiest place on earth, and make a little vacation out of it.

Snacks that I will be bringing with me while traveling:
1) A variety of fruit snacks. I’m currently loving the Simply Balanced Fruit Ropes, Annies Bunnies fruit snacks, and Stretch Island Fruit Chews.(affiliate link)
2) String cheese.  I always forget what I good snack it is!

Beverages that will be in my cup holder during the road tripping:
1) Coffee. More than likely iced because it is easier to drink out of a straw than risk spilling coffee on myself.
2) Water.  Staying hydrated is something I’ve found really helps me to stay on track while traveling.  It keeps my energy levels normal, it dissuades me from eating every junk food available, just overall it keeps my body happier.

Songs that I will be listening to a lot of while traveling:
1) Ben Folds Five: Do It Anyway

2) Macklemore and Ryan Lewis: My Oh My

Have a great week!

I would like to be back later this week with posts while at BlogHer, but we will see what time allows!

  1. Please let me know if you need any Philly recs and I can’t wait for HLS!

    • Yayyy HLS!!!

Actually, my husband would really like to find a good Philly Cheesesteak. I know there are a ton of options, but is there anywhere you would recommend close to downtown? Thanks!

      • I’m a vegetarian but I know that the locals really love Jim’s on South St or DiNic’s in Reading Terminal Market. Both are right downtown and if you have never been Reading Terminal is a great spot for anyone interested in food.

        • Thanks!

Yeah I went to Reading Terminal Market breifly when I was there a few years ago and will definitely be going back, it is such a fun place!

  2. Wish I was going to BlogHer this weekend 🙁 Have a blast! Cant wait to meet at HLS though!!
