Shows I’ve been watching on Netflix:
1) The Carrie Diaries. I’ve watched the whole first season so far (I think there is another, currently on CW?) and I’m a fan! I hadn’t heard great things about it but I thought I’d give it a shot anyways. Its a pretty mindless show, but enjoyable.
2) Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Yeah, I know, not the most brilliant minded show. I started watching the first season over the weekend and it is actually kind of funny to see how different they all are only 5 years ago!
Songs I’ve been listening to on repeat: (don’t worry, no Christmas songs yet!)
1) Lorde – Royals
2) Darius Rucker – Wagon Wheel
I know I’m late to the party on both of these songs, but I’m a big fan of both of them!!
Things I’ve been loving about weekends:
1) Lots of knitting.
2) Sunday night television. Homeland and The Walking Dead haven’t always been spectacular this season, but I still enjoy having them to look forward to on Sunday evenings!
Reasons why I love the layer of snow currently on the ground:
1) It actually feels like it is November, which puts me into a happy holiday spirit.
2) It makes the ground and trees looks so much prettier.
Reasons why I don’t love the layer of snow currently on the ground:
1) I’m running a 5K on Thursday. Outside. On said snow covered ground. I may not have thought that one through very well…
2) Even though snow is not at all unusual for this time of year, apparently no one ever remembers how to drive it it and the first snow of the year always causes tons of accidents and backups around the city.

Totally digging that yarn! I love the color!
I’m also running a 5k on Thanksgiving morning! I’m wondering if the snow that’s falling right now will stick around until then. If so, it will be an entertaining race! Good luck with yours!
Thanks, Aubrey! Good Luck to you, too!
I’m walking a 5K on Thursday morning but the worst we’re expecting here is rain. Since it’s a trail-based course, the rain will probably make things a little more interesting and we won’t be able to bring The Pug – he doesn’t do rain! – but it’s still do-able.
I’m loving The Carrie Diaries, too, and the actress who plays Carrie reminds me a lot of SJP, so that makes me happy.
Oh, Olive doesn’t do rain either! Good luck with your 5K!
And yes, I agree, they did a good job casting her!
My wife just knitted our two cats “cat caves”. They love them, it’s absolutely hysterical!!
I’m not psyched with Walking Dead this season either. The last two episodes focusing on only the Governor have been my least favorite ever.
Good luck with your race Thursday! I’m running a Turkey Trot as well and it’s supposed to be around 33* with 23 mph winds! Chilly, chilly race!
Oooh I want to know more about these “cat caves” did she use a pattern?
Yeah, I don’t know that I love the whole Governor storyline, but at least its a little bit different?
Good luck with your race on Thursday, too! That sounds pretty similar to what it is supposed to be like here, too. Brrrr!
She used the instructions she found on this blog post. I don’t know what language it’s written in, but it’s in English at the bottom so don’t worry! LOL Ours are not as sturdy as hers (it doesn’t stay puffed up with solid walls like that), but I thought I saw somewhere that she put wire in it to sturdy it? Anyway, here’s the link: http://www.eilentein.com/2012/05/pesa.html
Those look awesome, I might have to try that. Thanks!
Good luck with your race tomorrow! I considered a Thanksgiving race, but I’m a baby in the cold 🙂
I also love Wagon Wheel. Actually, Miss A really loves Wagon Wheel, and the love has spread to the rest of the house.
Thanks, Danielle! It was freezing!!
