Twosday {Disney World 2014}

Nerdiest things that I enjoyed during our trip:
1) Pin trading.  I’m a huge fan of trading pins with cast members, and I have a large collection of them!  I collect pins in general (I try to get a new one every time I go to a new place, or event) so collecting Disney pins was pretty much a no brainer.
2) The Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card game.  Basically you collect cards (yep, like trading cards) and go around to various points in the park and fight villains on a magic screen that appears.  It was actually pretty entertaining and a great thing to do when you just feel like wandering around the park!

Favorite Mickey-shaped foods:
1) Waffles
2) Pretzels
3) Cupcakes (oops…couldn’t just leave that one at two…)

1) One of my favorite things about Disney World is watching the fireworks over the castle.  The music, fireworks, and narration, is just classic Disney, and something I have to do every time I go.
2) We stayed at the Polynesian this year, and it was a fun surprise to find out that we could actually watch the fireworks from the beach of our hotel!
3) On our flight out of Orlando, we saw the fireworks from the plane, it was super cool! I’m pretty sure they were from the Illuminations show at Epcot. (er….I’m bad at this two thing today aren’t I…)

Blends that I met up with during the trip: (There were several more that I wish I would’ve gotten to meet up with but there is only so much time in a day!)
1) I finally got to meet Kelly who blogs over at kjpugs.com, and her adorable daughter.
2) I got to hang out with Kelly who blogs over at Living the Before again, after meeting her at the Healthy Living Summit last fall.

Favorite rides that I went on:
1) Kilimanjaro Safaris.  I love seeing all of the animals, and our driver was pretty awesome.  Sometimes the animals are not out and about on the safari, but this time they were.  So much in fact, that an ostrich actually walked down the truck path directly in front of us.  Like, right in front of us, so we had to slow down the truck and follow her until she decided to turn off of the path.  It was pretty entertaining.
2) Toy Story Mania.  I love this ride.  It is fun, and interactive, and also I love the Toy Story movies.  Unfortunately I’m not very good at it, but it is still fun.

  1. I wish I had gotten a Mickey waffle, they are super cute.

  2. I now want to go get a pretzel! And it was great to hang out with you guys 🙂

  3. I collect pins too! I have since I was a kid. I try to remember to get one or ask others to get one for me) from new places I travel… I have one from Disney (a couple actually) and from lots of locales across the globe. I want to put them on a display in the house somewhere sometime.

    • Yes, I do the same! I need to figure out some way to display them all nicely, right now they are just pinned to several sheets of felt and sitting on a shelf!
