Restaurant Review: Slide Food Cart

Full Disclosure:  I paid for this meal with my own money and am not being compensated in any way for this post.  All of the opinions are completely my own.

While I chose Melted to eat lunch while we were downtown recently, the husband chose Slide.

Slide

His meal included a slider (he had the Power Ball which had mozzarella in it), home made chips and dip, a cup of fruit, and a can of soda.  He didn’t say that it was anything amazing, but he did enjoy it.  It is also worth noting that his meal was only about $6.  For all of that food.  It wasn’t a ton of food, but it was enough for a satisfying lunch.

Taste: A, a good solid meal.
Cost: A+, definitely a lot of bang for your buck.

Would I go there again? I’m not sure.  I think that kind of meal for that amount of money is a pretty great deal, so I think he would go there again if we were in another food cart situation.

  1. Are you doing all these restaurant reviews to give us MORE ideas for Healthy Living Summit? Hehe! Either way, $6 for the meal is an amazing price!

    • Madison is seriously filled with awesome food, I could go on and on listing places. It’s a good thing that we are limiting things to the downtown area. 🙂 Also, there are more restaurant reviews to come!

  2. The powerball is one of my least favorites. Try it again with the Buff Chick or the “What’s the name of that pepper?”. Both are seriously l.e.g.i.t. Also, the wasabi garlic dip for the chips is literally the only reason we go back. I’m bound and determined to figure out how to imitate it. Slide is definitely one of our favorite carts.

    • I’ll have to let my husband know about those other flavors, thanks!

P.S. Thanks for all of the comments! 🙂
