Restaurant Review: Jet Room

Full Disclosure: I paid for this meal with my own money, and I am not being compensated for this post.  As always the opinions are completely my own.

Last weekend we went out to brunch for my Grandpa’s birthday.  Sometimes when we have to choose a place that the whole family will enjoy, it gets difficult.  The Jet Room, however, I think is the exception.  I’ve only been there a couple of times, but my parents and Grandparents have both been there several times and really enjoy it.  It is located right next to the Dane County Regional Airport, close to where all the small private planes fly in and out. (Similar to Pilot Pete’s that we recently went to in Schaumburg.)

To eat, I had the 2x2x2 which is two pancakes, 2 scrambled eggs, and 2 strips of bacon. (I gave my bacon to the husband which is why you don’t see it in the photo)

The meal was delicious and super filling.  The pancakes themselves could easily be a meal on their own.

Everyone at our table really enjoyed their meals – which is sometimes easier said than done.  The meals from omelettes to potato pancakes to the veggie skillet, and everything in between. The restaurant was very busy (we went at 10am on a Saturday) and crowded, but the staff was still very attentive and friendly.  Overall it was a great meal and I only wish it was closer (and open for breakfast all day) so I could go there for brunch more often.

Taste: A, delicious.
Cost: A, Each person’s meal cost $10 or less which is a good deal considering the quality and quantity of the food!

Would I go there again? Yes, if only it was located closer to my side of town.  (although, I suppose pancakes for lunch isn’t something I need to get used to.)
